Watercolor Painting – Perspective

Posted in My Art | No Comments »

Firstly, I would like to thanks to the School of Mechatronic Engineering, UniMAP for this commission, they request to do their building in watercolor, this is the time for me to study the perspective elements.

I start with the basic sketch, build the building perspective line, this is the most important thing, some people do underestimate ‘the basic’. Nowadays you could learn almost everything on the internet, but the experience and practice will teach you more…

Then, put the basic color, before I painting the clouds and lands, I’m wetting the paper with the plain water, then control and mix the color until I meet the expectations. Let’s it dry for the next layer…

Details…

The shadows : Some people does’t recommend use the plain black, some does, some do the mixing color to meet their style or the color composition, I? I do I what want, I love the freedom of painting, paint from the inner heart, I think this is what all the painter should do…with the guidelines of course..

Begin to establish between dark and light, develop more color, added deeper value for building to make the sky slightly appear.

More details, color and value…

Final adjustment and…done!

Ready to go for the new owner…

Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolor Paints

Posted in My Art | No Comments »

Somehow, I buy this beautiful set of watercolor from my friend that buy directly from Japan. Gansai is Japanese for paint (s) or color pigment and Tambi means aesthetic. Maybe this is the Kuretake trademark.

Just understand the words ‘Made in Japan’

When I open the cover, suddenly, all this 36 colors haunted me…

Result;

Title : The Foggy Road

Love the opaque and vibrant characteristic that the colors offer, the texture very smooth, they are like between watercolors and gouache,  make them perform for detailing, seem suitable with my style.
